Manchester United's Solskjaer to make 'ruthless' decisions in transfer market

The former Manchester City and Malaga boss pointed out the refereeing decisions during his post-match press conference though he didn't blame the referee for the defeat.

The France midfielder, likely to be a Real Madrid target for the foreseeable future, ended an eight-match goal drought by scoring two penalties, either side of a Felipe Anderson equaliser for West Ham.

Manchester United took the lead in the 19th minute when Robert Snodgrass brought down Juan Mata and Paul Pogba found the back of the net from the penalty spot.

"They did create chances in the last 20 minutes of the half, including the goal, but I think that was a attractive goal for Hazard, though we could defend it better".

Herrera has not played for United since being replaced by Andreas Pereira in the second half of their 2-1 victory over Watford on March 30 due to a muscle injury.

Manchester United has fallen to sixth place in the Premier League and is looking to get back into the top four this weekend when it faces West Ham on Saturday.

The French World Cup victor scored twice for United to lift them onto 64 points from 33 games.

"We need as many points as possible and I think if we get 15 we'll be (in the) top three because in those games hopefully we'll beat Chelsea", Solskjaer told reporters ahead of West Ham's visit on Saturday.
