That said, the Samsung Galaxy A40 is a presentable smartphone in its own right, and the likelihood is you won't find all seven A series devices available in your region, hopefully making the decision a little easier for you.

Samsung has revealed that it is scrapping its Galaxy J Series lineup, effectively making the Galaxy A series the new front-runner for its mid-range market segment.

Samsung's triple camera array consists of a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/2.0 aperture, an ultra-wide (123 degrees) 8-megapixel lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 3D depth camera. What this means is that the same set of cameras is used to take pictures and videos from the front and back - they just flip, based on whether you want to take selfies, or capture stuff from the rear camera. Backed by 8GB of RAM, the Galaxy A80 comes with 128GB of internal storage.

Out of the three smartphones, Samsung recently had a quiet launch of the Galaxy A70 on its website.

She played 17 minutes, which was second only to the 18 she played in an opening round blowout of Abilene Christian. Jackie Young is the third double-digit scorer and Brianna Turner is grabbing 7.7 rebounds.

There's now no word on a Samsung Galaxy A40 release date or price, but as soon as we know we'll update this article with all the details. There is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on the display itself and the device is powered by a 3,700mAh battery with 25W FastCharging support. The headline A80 features an nearly bezel-less display with a rotating rear camera that can also be used for selfies, while the A70 sports a boring-by-comparison waterdrop notch. When the camera app is shut, the entire module gets hidden inside and the camera automatically gets rotated back to the rear position.

Coming in Phantom Black, Angel Gold, and Ghost White finishes, the device will be available on May 29th. There's no word on United Kingdom pricing or pre-orders just yet but stay tuned...

It might not be Samsung's flagship smartphone, but the Galaxy A80 is certainly a device we're looking forward to trying out properly. The phone does not have a micro SD card slot that would allow for more storage or a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Cameras aside, the Galaxy A80 boasts a very big 6.7-inch, full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. That's enough power to keep Android 9 ticking along without hassle, and it comes with Samsung's One UI interface laid over the top. In a odd omission for Samsung, the A80 doesn't support microSD for storage expansion so 128GB is all you'll get in terms of storage capacity.
