PSG looked to be heading for only the second loss of their league campaign until substitute Thilo Kehrer equalised eight minutes from time.

It's hard to argue with him after a screw-up many are declaring the worst miss in the history of football.

FORMER STOKE City striker Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting is the talk of Twitter after being handed a rare start for Paris Saint-Germain.

The miss denied Thomas Tuchel's men a chance to win the trophy at the Parc des Princes on Sunday and the Cameroon worldwide feels sorry for his action.

"He shot, I thought that the defender was maybe going to take the ball and, after, I hesitated to take the ball, I asked myself if I was offside and everything went very quickly".

The score was 2-1 at the time and the game ended 2-2.

Manchester United may have identified next season's right-back
But I have to be honest and say I would have preferred to meet Liverpool only in the final itself. Speaking to the Mirror , the 26-year-old said: "My head is exclusively in Barcelona ".

We could call this an embarrassing miss (because it was), but really, Choupo-Moting shouldn't have touched the ball at all.

But it wasn't enough for PSG and they will have to wait for the title.

PSG could not hold onto its lead for long, though, as Strasbourg gradually got into the match to find space between the Parisian lines.

But on 28 minutes, the visitors were level thanks to a well-worked counter, which was expertly finished by Nuno da Costa. Waiting outside the box, Anthony Goncalves calmly walked toward the ball and hammered it back to silence the Parc des Princes with a powerful strike that left goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon stranded. They can seal it if they draw at second-placed Lille next Sunday.

Dani Alves came close to an equaliser in the 69th minute, only for his spectacular overhead kick to crash on to the crossbar.

Tuchel was then sent to the stands on 58 minutes for verbally challenging the referee, with Mbappe and Julian Draxler entering the fray shortly after to try and salvage the game.
