Windows 10 Game Bar Is Getting Spotify, Memes and More

As mentioned, Game Bar now includes the ability to customize the overlay. "If you are an Insider who wishes to remain on the May 2019 Update - you will want to switch to the Slow ring now or the Release Preview ring once it receives the May 2019 Update", Microsoft said in the blog post announcing the move.

Game bar already lets you broadcast, screenshot, and share captures to Twitter.

Game bar will also incorporate a new Xbox Social widget that offers information about what someone's friends are playing and makes it easy to message them, connect in a voice chat, or watch their stream on Mixer, (which we're sure is every PC gamer's streaming platform of choice, right?).

Now I'm personally not using the Game Bar but it's pretty obvious that Microsoft is doing its best to overhaul this feature.

For those still running Windows 7 software, Microsoft has started incentivising users to upgrade to Windows 10.

We fixed an issue where users were unable to enable\disable.NET Framework or other optional feature- on-demand (FODs) after installing recent Cumulative Updates. That's key in this new era of "Windows as a service" when Microsoft isn't bothering to create new distinct versions of the OS.

While a social worker attempts to help him with the aforementioned insanity, his line, "I used to think my life was a tragedy". He said: "That's what happens when you set out to make an origin story about a character who doesn't have an origin".

Going forward, you'll decide when to install them. Meanwhile, the May 2019 Update is expected to spend a month with Release Preview testers before beginning its public rollout.

It will do that by no longer shoving monthly and biannual updates down the throats of Windows 10 users, starting with the next big one.

Removing feature updates from the check for updates functionality and no longer enforcing the installation of feature updates when they become available are two important steps as well to improve reliability and quality. Based on user feedback we know that any update can come at an inconvenient time, such as when a PC is needed for a big presentation.

Updates may also be paused for up to 35 days (seven days at a time) for all users, including those on Windows 10 Home. Once the 35-day pause period is reached, users will need to update their device before pausing again. Many users leave the active hours setting at its 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. default.

This is in stark contrast to the position taken prior to the launch of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, where additional testing in the Release Preview ring was deemed unnecessary.
