Facebook and Instagram are having technical issues as users reported problems with the social media sites Wednesday.

Facebook is now down with people all around the globe having difficulty accessing the world's largest social network. A recent post from the official Facebook Twitter account assures users that the team is working on resolving the various errors plaguing Facebook as well as its related services and platforms. "We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible", Facebook said in a statement Wednesday afternoon. Some users have regular access, and some have intermittent access.

The company also posted a thread on Twitter confirming the outage.

Facebook, Messenger and Instagram were out primarily in major urban areas across the United States and Europe, along with parts of South America.

Shit sucks, basically. Shit sucks so much that some desperate Facebook and Instagram users are calling the cops, urging them to do something about this global outage.

The reports first surfaced in the early morning (AEDT) and all three services continue to be causing headaches for users.

The resolution now goes to the House, which approved a very similar measure earlier this year, to be passed again. Tillis said Wednesday that his vote was "still a work in progress", citing continuing discussions.

WR Jackson heading back to Eagles, per sources
Jackson posted on Instagram earlier today that he was leaving Tampa, but the Buccaneers insisted they had not cut him. These reports came to light just hours before teams can legally tamper with free agents, starting at 12:00pm EST.

Some users reflected on how the outage had exposed their reliance on the social media networks.

According to News 6 sister station WPLG, some WhatsApp users were also experiencing problems.
