The Oakland Raiders have agreed to sign the free agent to a four-year deal worth a record $66 million.

On Monday, Trent Brown reportedly agreed to a contract with the Oakland Raiders that would make him the highest-paid offensive lineman in National Football League history. That move cost him $14.5 million in guaranteed salary, but saved some wear and tear on his body as he heads into free agency for the first time. "The source strongly disputed the report from Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News suggesting that a schism exists within organization regarding Bell".

According to Ian Rapoport, who spoke on the matter Monday morning on NFL Network, the Patriots offered the Steelers a second- and fourth-round pick for Brown.

Brown has experience playing on both the left and right side but with the money he is getting from Oakland it appears more likely he would line up on the left to protect Carr's blind side.

The Patriots acquired Brown in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers last April. He'll have a ton of suitors, but Oakland will be ready and is willing to spend for star power even after acquiring Antonio Brown. Odds are much better the Raiders prioritize a left tackle over a running back.
