National Football League trade rumors: Steelers expect to deal Antonio Brown by Friday

That is because Brown is due a $2.5million roster bonus on March 17, so many see this date as a soft deadline for a deal to be completed.

Brown made his sixth straight Pro Bowl in 2018 after being a First-Team All-Pro selection in four straight years.

"The Antonio Brown sweepstakes are heating up: Sources say the Steelers have begun telling teams that this is moving quickly and to give their best offers ASAP", NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wrote on Twitter Wednesday.

The Raiders have discussed him at length internally and are widely referenced among his most interested suitors, but they also aren't sprinting to the dance floor.

Brown, 30, requested a trade at the end of the season and the Steelers recently said three teams had already been in touch to talk about a possible deal.

It looks like Antonio Brown might be on the move soon.

The Raiders are in need of help at wide receiver after dealing Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys. They are also interested in New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr., he reported, and they would "far and away" prefer landing him over Brown. The talented, but troubled wideout has posted six consecutive seasons with at least 100 receptions and 1,200 receiving yards, the longest active streak in the NFL.

As Rapoport mentioned, the Raiders have three first-round picks in this year's draft. Like other teams, there is hesitancy within the organization that could lead it to prioritize other avenues when addressing the position.

In Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson, the Jets aren't bereft of pass-catching talent, but neither player is almost as consistent, savvy, or talented as Brown, who is the NFL's premier route-runner.

Brown met with team officials two weeks later and the sides agreed a trade would be the best solution for all involved.
