It is shocking that he's missing Arnold Palmer's tournament at Bay Hill (of all places), but I don't necessarily think there are any alarms to sound. The world's top players then head directly to the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass which makes the move from May to March this season.

Mitchell finished nine under - one shot ahead of Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler - at PGA National in Florida.

Woods has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational eight times during his storied career. He took last week off after playing in the WGC tournament in Mexico.
