A general view of the new livery being unveiled by drivers Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean during the Rich Energy Haas F1 Team 2019 auto launch at the Royal Automobile Club, in London, Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. The American outfit brings back the black and gold colour scheme that reflects its new title sponsor.

The Haas appears in a new black-and-gold colour-scheme after the signing of a new title sponsor, the start-up energy drink brand Rich Energy, of whom West Ham chairman David Gold is among the shareholders. Despite speculation that the VF-19 displayed is just a vehicle to show off the team's redesigned livery, new aero elements such as a prominent "S-duct" (not featured on the VF-18) are present, as pointed out by Auto Motor und Sport.

The livery features an all black design, with gold trimmings running throughout the auto, representing the colours of the energy drinks company from the UK.

The covers came of the new Haas VF-19 on Thursday at London's Royal Automobile Club, with drivers Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean on hand to talk about the auto.

"It's important that we keep progressing as a team, and this season is no different". Our partnership with Rich Energy is another positive example of moving forward as an organisation.

Team principal Guenther Steiner said Rich's presence had turned up the pressure at a team that previously focused on promoting Haas's machine tools business.

Cavaliers involved in three-team trade with Rockets, Kings
The Rockets are in the midst of a push for a deep playoff run and Shumpert's perimeter defense should lend a helping hand. The Kings will get Cleveland's Alec Burks in return, as part of a three-team deal with the Rockets and the Cavaliers.

"That's the frustrating thing about Formula 1: you can never just go into the season and say "I want to be the best this year". On-track, our push for performance started early with the VF-19, our next step is to get to Spain and utilise our time there wisely to prepare for Australia". It's fantastic to see the VF-19 decked out in black and gold, with Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen similarly attired.

While still relatively little-known, Rich Energy have been linked with involvement at F1 teams for the past two seasons but potential tie-ups with Force India and Williams have not materialised.

Speaking at today's livery reveal, Rich Energy CEO, Williams Storey, was keen to dismiss the claims about his company, insisting that it is a serious player and is targeting Red Bull, both on the race track and off, as it aims to become the number one energy drink.

Haas enjoyed its most successful season past year, finishing fifth behind the well-backed Renault outfit, during which it confirmed its new title partnership.

Haas entered the sport in 2016 and have yet to score a podium finish. Ahead of next months season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
