Kante has arguably been the most influential signing made by Chelsea since Eden Hazard, having arrived from Leicester City a Premier League victor in the summer of 2016. Though the rest of the team essentially picks itself ahead of today's game, he faces a really hard decision in choosing which of the three will start.

They are very suitable to play together.

Hazard, who says it is nice to be able to go to restaurants or the cinema with his wife Natacha and three children and not be approached the whole time, as he is in Belgium, is keen to emphasise his philosophy as a player is dedicated to the overall team performance.

It was put to Sarri that he and Higuain have a father-son type of relationship.

The French league leaders have been keen on signing the 27-year-old World Cup victor for some time and it is believed they will test Chelsea's resolve.

"I'm hopeful I will get back to that level we had before, this is the idea".

Hazard this week admitted to having made a decision on his future, with his Chelsea contract expiring in June 2020 and amid repeated links with a £100million summer move to Real Madrid.

A testing spell at the San Siro has seen Higuain's suitability to the Premier League questioned, but the striker insists he does not have a point to prove to anyone. "I think they are an example to every club".

"I'm not sure. Maybe they think I can, but I know myself and I don't think I can".

And Sarri's men travel to Manchester City this coming weekend.

Who do you think will come out on top this evening? "No more, I think". He added "Managers like Mourinho, Conte, now with Sarri want me to score 40, 50 goals a season but can I do that?"

"He is the father of our football, of the football of Guardiola, of my football".
