MMA fighter Cedric "Spider-Man" Marks was captured on Sunday after he escaped from a jail transport van just north of Houston and led police on a nine-hour manhunt. Marks is considered extremely risky, according to officials.

April Pease, Marks' ex-girlfriend and mother of a son, was reported missing March 17, 2009, according to The Charley Project.

His shirt was later found.

"Marks is considered extremely unsafe", sheriff's officials wrote.

Maya Renee Maxwell, 26, who was arrested on January 11 in Muskegon on a Bell County warrant charging tampering with evidence, admitted that "she was involved with leaving Swearingin's vehicle in Austin in hopes to hide it from law enforcement", a warrant affidavit released Wednesday says.

Marks was en route to Bell County by Texas Prisoner Transport Services from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he had been arrested by U.S. Marshalls for burglary with intent to commit another felony, Conroe Police Lt. Dorcy McGinnis said in a media Conference.

Marks was arrested in MI just a couple days later with another girlfriend.

UPDATE:After an exhausting 9 hour manhunt involving multiple Montgomery County, State and Federal Law Enforcement. "Cedric Joseph Marks escaped from a private prisoner transport and was last seen wearing an orange jump suit and restraints".

Maya Maxwell, 26, was arrested and charged after she told police that she tried to hide Swearingin's auto in the Austin area after his disappearance.

Maya Maxwell is charged with evidence tampering and is jailed in Bell County, Texas, on US$150,000 (NZ217,000) bond.

The woman who voluntarily admitted she drove a Swearingin's vehicle to Austin with the hope of concealing it from law enforcement agencies was extradited to Bell County.

Like Scott, Pease alleged that Marks had choked her unconscious on more than one occasion, according to a court custody investigator.

Marks' wife, a 37 year old Muskegon woman, was charged with harboring him on January 16.

Jail records do not list an attorney for either woman.
