Samsung is set to bring down the curtains on its much-hyped foldable device on February 20, four days before Hauwei's event.

Huawei's first foldable phone will be illuminated at Mobile World Congress (MWC) and the handset will have the Kirin 980 chipset.

While it looks cool, the shape of the hinge may augur that it won't fold flat. A new leak suggests that there's a second foldable phone in the works as well - and that this would be a gaming phone. Richard Yu also disclosed that the company already had a working prototype of a two-screen device with only a small gap between both screens that needed to be fixed.

According to news sources LG and Huawei are prime highlights, the brands plans to introduce their unique foldable 5G smartphone models.

Courtesy of Dutch blog LetsGoDigital, the US Patent and Trademark Office has just published a design patent that shows a foldable phone with dedicated gaming buttons which can be hidden when not in use. Are you ready to reveal the unprecedented?

Huawei's press event is scheduled to take place on February 24, 2019 in Barcelona.

Samsung - which Huawei reportedly hopes to overtake as the world's No. 1 smart-phone seller by the end of 2020 - may also reveal its first foldable phone in February. At least that is what is being deduced from the official invite that the company has posted on Twitter for its event going to held at the Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC 2019) in Barcelona, Spain. While Samsung and another Chinese phone-maker, Royole, have the screen fold in half like a book, Xiaomi chose to add a second fold.

As sure as a Huawei foldable phone looks, we doubt this will be either the P30 Pro or Mate 30 Pro this year is expected to deliver.
