Jayme Closs, missing Wisconsin girl whose parents were shot dead, found safe

They find Jayme's parents, but the teen is missing.

Relatives of Closs spoke to FOX 9 Thursday night to describe what finding her means to the family.

Jayme went missing on October 15 after police discovered someone had broken into the family's home outside Barron and fatally shot her parents, James and Denise Closs.

"We want to thank the Douglas Co Sheriff's Department and agencies assisting them tonight. We can't believe it".

The bodies of Jayme's parents, James and Denise Closs, were discovered October 15 after a mysterious 911 call led deputies to their home in northwestern Wisconsin. He called that "false news". The neighbor shouted, "This is Jayme Closs!".

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Jayme Closs was located alive in the Town of Gordon at 4:43 p.m. on Thursday.

Barron County Sheriff's Department also revealed a suspect has been taken into custody.

Authorities didn't release any other details on where she was found.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department wrote on Facebook that a suspect has been taken into custody. They are being aided by the FBI and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation agents.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page late Thursday thanking "the citizen who phoned in the information".

Earlier on Thursday, Barron County Sheriff's officials had to quash news that Closs was relocated, saying that heavy law enforcement presence near a county southwest of Milwaukee was not related to Closs.

"We are just happy everyone kept praying and didn't give up home like we didn't", Jayme's aunt, Jennifer Smith, told ABC News. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!'

Jayme's story was helped by The Voice contestant Chris Kroeze, who dedicated his performances to her on his run to the finale of the singing competition.

The young teenager was missing for 87 days. She asks people to continue to pray for "Jayme's well-being and our families healing". County buildings dedicated Christmas trees to Jayme, decorating them in her favorite colors and the word "Hope". Neighbors, family and volunteers gathered to help with searches of the area.
