Female sex toy firm slams CES for gender bias after losing award

The reason suggested for this could be sexism as the company is founded and led primarily by women.

Needless to say, the women behind this startup are not happy. However, it never happened as show organisers not only revoked company's ability to exhibit at the event but also took away the prestigious award by giving some ridiculous reasons.

Pleasure product start-up Lora DiCarlo was selected as a CES 2019 Innovation Awards honoree in the robotics and drone category for its Osé "personal massager". The prize, she said, made the years of research and engineering even more worthwhile.

Eventually, the organizers implied that the product wasn't eligible to fall in the Robotics and Drones category which raised serious questions on how the World's biggest tradeshow works. It was then judged by an independent panel, which deemed the product a victor.

However, Haddock pointed to other sex-related tech that appeared at CES in the past.

Back when he was on Bruce Arians' staff in Arizona in 2013, he felt two pops in his chest , his vision blurred, and he went numb. At this point, Kitchens , who revamped the team's offense in the season's second half, appears to be the front-runner.

China Trade Talks Wrap Up After Extending To 3rd Day
Apple Inc (AAPL.O) rattled global markets last week when it cut its sales outlook, blaming weak demand in China. Kim's train left Beijing on Wednesday around the same time the U.S. trade negotiators headed for the airport.

Meanwhile at CES, men have lined up to watch VR porn with their conference badges dangling around their necks and have gone hands-on with sex robots.

'From the exclusion of female founders and executives to the lack of female-focused products allowed to exhibit on the floor - there are demonstrable issues with diversity'. "We've seen token concessions, like the attempted 50/50 split of female and male keynote speakers in 2019 after an all male lineup in 2017 and 2018 - but sadly it's just cosmetic". The new device is aimed at apartment dwellers or college students who want a video doorbell, but may not be allowed to install one next to their doors.

"It seems to us that products that are explicitly allowed for men in an explicit sexual nature are allowed more of a pass than products that are geared toward female pleasure and female sexuality", Haddock said.

In response, the CTA told American technology news and media network The Verge that the award had been revoked because the Ose did not fit into any existing product categories and should not have been originally accepted for the awards programme. It should be mentioned, though, that previous year at CES, robotics company Abyss Creations debuted a realistic sex doll targeted at men-in the video interview with Christopher Trout, the company's spokesman stated that a male model of the robot was in the works as well. So why did it rescind this award and risk further accusations of gender bias? A scarily lifelike sex doll for guys actually launched on the floor of CES this year.
