Klopp was speaking after Salah scored a brilliant hat-trick in Liverpool's emphatic 4-0 victory over Bournemouth, taking his league tally for the season into double figures as Liverpool racked up a fifth straight top-flight win and supplanted Manchester City at the top of the table.

Salah's former teammates in Chelsea granted him and Liverpool the Premier League leadership as Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-0 to stop City's unbeaten run at the League.

Salah's dislocated shoulder in last term's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid spoiled his World Cup, but Klopp remains adamant he never doubted the 26-year-old. "Up until that point, I thought we defended well, our shape was OK, we kept them away from our goal and, and Salah is offside", Howe told Sky Sports.

Jurgen Klopp said "We have to develop always, and to confirm and to improve again on a 41-goal [sic] season".

"It would have been complete if we'd done the first half much better", said the Dutchman, in respect of his side's performance at the Vitality Stadium. "That's how it is".

"That's the game we want to play - a high press when we lose the ball, counter-press to create chances, and also play to create chances".

It would feel like an injustice if Napoli went out after being the pick of the the group so far, although with Liverpool's home advantage and Paris Saint-Germain off to Belgrade to face Crvena Zvezda, it seems likely, even if the Italians are a strong side. If Napoli score, Liverpool should attain at least a two-goal margin.

"I'm really looking forward to it, [it's a] big opportunity and we'll try everything to put it right". We need to be happy about the chance we have.

"We have to be on our toes on Tuesday night".

Arsenal are still yet to lead a English Premier League game at half-time this season, but again came good late on when Torreira acrobatically met Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's cross to lift the Gunners above north London rivals Tottenham into third. It's a big one, our people know that and I know they are already warming up.

"We caused the situation in a good way and in a bad way".

'We struggled a lot when we lost in Napoli with their build-up.
