BROOKLYN'S Caris LeVert suffered a horrific leg injury after landing awkwardly in an National Basketball Association game this morning.

LeVert leads the Nets with a career-high 18.4 points a game this season as well as 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and a team-best 1.2 steals per contest. A replay of the fall shows LeVert landing and bending his lower leg, but the extent of his injury has yet to be discerned. In addition to LeVert's injury, Rose was on the floor past year when Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward dislocated his ankle against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he was there when Paul George broke his leg during a Team USA game in 2014.

He has emerged as one of the NBA's young breakout stars in his third season, blossoming into a cornerstone of the Nets' rebuild.

Jose Mourinho fires dig at Sergio Aguero ahead of Man City clash
Jose Mourinho has always been a big spender in the transfer market - not just since he arrived at Manchester United . They claim that the criticism they have faced is an "organised and clear" attempt to damage their reputation.

On the four-game road trip that ended in Minnesota, LeVert scored 26 points in a win at Phoenix, then delivered his second game-winner of the season on Friday night in Denver.

LeVert came down hard on his right leg after colliding with Jeff Teague on an attempted chase-down block in the final seconds of the first half. The looks on the faces of his teammates gave the appearance they knew LeVert suffered a serious injury. You could just feel the emotions of everybody. How will the system have to be adjusted to accommodate for the loss of their leading scorer and go-to threat in close, late situations?

LeVert is only 24-years-old. "Prayers up for Caris LeVert!".
