Jose Mourinho fires dig at Sergio Aguero ahead of Man City clash

Jose Mourinho has always been a big spender in the transfer market - not just since he arrived at Manchester United.

Manchester City already sit top of the table, nine points ahead of United, but they will no doubt be aware of what happened in the same fixture last season when Mourinho's men came from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

The champions have faced damaging allegations this week that they artificially inflated sponsorship deals in a bid to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

Honing in on the acquisitions of Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, Danilo and Benjamin Mendy, he couldn't resist having a dig at City's tendency to buy solutions rather than find them through clever management.

They claim that the criticism they have faced is an "organised and clear" attempt to damage their reputation.

Asked what it was about Aguero he was not a fan of, Mourinho responded: "I keep [that] for me".

"It's hard for me to answer because I focus on my job".

"So if you want to speak about their football potential we can speak, and football potential starts with investment".

"I admire him because of his fantastic qualities".

"But what is behind, I can not say".

How do I watch online live streaming of the Manchester City vs Manchester United Premier League match?

Mourinho refused to comment on the Financial Fair Play row that has exploded to leave a huge question mark hanging over Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola's record-breaking title win last season.

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United side rocked up at the Lowry Hotel on Saturday evening ahead of their crunch clash with neighbours City.

"I think the coach definitely finds it hard to put all of us in because we're playing really well and there's a really good level in attack".

"It is not about scoring for one season, it is about scoring goals in your career".

"We are not a team that gives up".

"That feeling of being two goals behind was a awful one and coming back from that was incredible".

City have only bought three full-backs under Guardiola, but no other Premier League club has spent as much money in that position over the past three years, suggesting that they were the target of Mourinho's comments.

"Lukaku is training with the team this morning", said Mourinho.
