Red Sox Celebrate World Series Berth With Boston Booze Party

It was only fitting.

The Red Sox will head back to the fall classic for the first time since 2013.

But amazingly, things clicked against the New York Yankees in the division series, and then they clicked even more so against the Houston Astros in the ALCS, and now the Red Sox are heading to the World Series. The diving, game-saving catch that same night by Red Sox left fielder Andrew Benintendi, when a miss might have given the Astros the win.

Cora was very pleased with the effort Price gave the team on three days rest in Game 5 Thursday night. It's a great group - very talented, very humble, very hungry.

Two rules are in play here. And now we won, what, seven games already in October. "Most likely David will be Game 2", Cora said.

"We'll learn from it and everyone in here will have a little bit of an edge to play with it (will) be a chip on their shoulder knowing that we believe we should have been back-to-back champions", third baseman Alex Bregman said. But the playoffs are all about matchups and Price has always matched up well with the Astros.

"When I saw him throwing 94-95 [miles per hour] with that changeup, and throughout the start I was like, 'This is going to be great.' He was awesome", Cora said.

"It's all about heart with him", manager AJ Hinch said.

"I'm thrilled for him that he could do this".

It's got to be Troy Caldwell, thanks to a controversial moment from Wednesday night's game against the Red Sox. "He's so honest with the players, he's just very honest, and so he's got their respect". And before that, Martinez was a part of the Astros organization before they released him in March 2014. He doesn't have to do any false bravado or put any false pretenses.

That did not sit well with Astros fan Kate Upton and she took to Twitter to take Major League Baseball and West to task from her seat behind home plate at Minute Maid Park in Houston. "I'm not going to name names, but I think you could see some of it on the field". Price said Cora's demeanor has never changed, win or lose.

Bellinger leads off vs. Brewers in Game 5
Kershaw had his best performance of this postseason, limiting the Brewers to a run and three hits while striking out nine. Manny Pina doubled against Kenta Maeda leading off, thrusting his hips and waving his arms in a display that drew boos.

Arsenal should make Ramsey captain, not let him leave, says Wilshere
Unai Emery has said it is too soon for Arsenal fans to be singing that they have "got their club back" as he refused to get carried away with the club's impressive run of form.

Pippa Middleton gives birth to baby boy
The baby's aunt and uncle Prince William and Kate are "thrilled" at the news, according to a spokesperson for Kensington Palace . Meghan and Harry announced their happy baby news on Monday, shortly before Pippa was seen arriving at the Lindo Wing .

"He's meant everything", Mookie Betts said.

"We got four more wins".

Watch any game, and you can find evidence of the lengths teams might go if they're anxious about who is watching.

That trust was on full display again last night.

Price, contrary to the narrative, pitched excellently.

Price tossed six innings of three-hit, shutout ball with no walks and nine strikeouts in Game 5 Thursday. The performance earned Price his first postseason win as a starter. I'm happy that David showed up today. "This is what we set out to do when we come to spring training".

It was a disappointing end for the Astros to a stellar year in which they won a franchise-record 103 games to capture the AL West for a second straight season.

With the season on the line, Verlander was unable to save the Astros this time. Jackie Bradley Jr. carried the load for much of the ALCS, and then on Thursday, it was Rafael Devers who delivered the separating blow, a three-run home run in the sixth inning that grew the lead to 4-0 against Justin Verlander.

That was all they needed. The upshot is that Caldwell may have cost his team a two-run home run in an American League finals game the Astros ended up losing by, yes, two runs.

Kimbrel, the Sox' closer, notched a save in each of his five outings this postseason, but the typically reliable All-Star didn't look like his regular-season self.

Kimbrel was on point this time. "So it's just something that kind of stuck with me".

With the Astros' season finished, those amusing fans can relive their hijinks online while the Sox faithful cheer on their team in the Series.
