Prince Harry and Meghan arrive in Australia for royal tour

Australia will welcome Prince Harry and his new bride Meghan Markle as they touch down in Sydney this morning for a whirlwind royal tour.

It was a low-key arrival with a large contingent of security and media in place to meet them.

It all begins on Tuesday when the couple will meet Govenor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife Lady Cosgrove at Admiralty House.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have arrived in Australia, ahead of their mammoth royal tour. That night they will officially attend the opening of the Invictus Games on the Opera House forecourt, where the Duke of Sussex will give an address.

The royal pair decided against an official welcome at Sydney airport, instead opting for a more low-key entrance where they were ushered out a back door and into a waiting vehicle.
