Taking to its official Twitter account, OnePlus has scheduled October 30 as the launch date for the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 6T will come with a feature that few, if any, smartphones in the U.S. have: An in-display fingerprint reader.

After being the subject of numerous leaks, the OnePlus 6T now has an official reveal date. OnePlus will bundle in a free pair of earbuds along with the OnePlus 6T for early birds, according to today's report, and it remains to be seen if the same courtesy will be provided in other markets as well.

The OnePlus 6T is all set for an unveiling next week and has already been confirmed to feature an in-display "Screen Unlock" fingerprint scanner.

OnePlus will unveil a brand new flagship phone this month. The company also confirmed that the 6T will not have the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and this will make room for new technology.

OnePlus says that it will celebrate the announcement of the OnePlus 6T by hosting the biggest ever Community event in the company's history. Instead, it would have the fingerprint sensor built right under the display of the phone.

Those headline features aside, we're expecting internal specs to be much the same as the OnePlus 6, including the Snapdragon 845 chip and 6 or 8GB of RAM. Moreover, the OnePlus 6T is expected to run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The primary camera module is still a dual-lens setup but the front camera is expected to come with an IR sensor.
