You just knew the man was going to do it in style.

"Drew, for 1,000 days I've held the record for all-time passing yards in the National Football League and I've got to tell you, it's been the greatest 1,000 days of my life and thanks to you that's over now", Manning said jokingly. Brees will go down as one of the best quarterbacks EVER to play the game.

It was one of three passing TDs on the night for Brees, moving him up to 499 for his career, one shy of joining Manning (539), Favre (508) and Tom Brady (500) as only the fourth man in the elite 500 club.
