Melania Trump promotes USA agency, Trump wants to cut funding

Trump noted Melania was receiving an awesome amount of love from Africa, something that made him happy.

"I also wanted to be sure to personally thank each of you for the work that you do here at the embassy in Malawi", she added.

The visit is expected to interrupt a number of activities, including a partial shutdown of the busy Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The people love her, and she loves them!

"Thank you for having me here and thank you for a handsome warm welcome", Trump told her hosts, adding that she wanted to be in Malawi to see the success of American programs here.

Melenia Trump's visit to Africa could be made hard because of the past actions and words of her husband President Donald Trump reportedly used a vulgar and insulting term to describe African nations.

A group of children is also listed to entertain her on Friday.

Mrs Trump will be visting Kenya for two days with eyes set on health, education and environmental conservation as her key agenda.

Malawi First Lady Getrude Mutharika returned welcomed the US First Lady.

After her tour around the former fort, Trump said, "It's very emotional". The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has several active reading programs and retention-focused initiatives at schools in Malawi.

On Friday, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta will take Melania to visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust before heading to State House for talks.

"I was heartened to spend time with the students and was honoured to donate school supplies and soccer balls", she said.

She also visited a local traditional ruler, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, meeting him in Obama Hall.
