Jurgen Klopp watched as his Liverpool side surrendered a one-goal lead in the last 11 minutes of this Carabao League Cup tie, with Eden Hazard grabbing a stunning late victor for Chelsea.

"Not all the time", Hazard told Chelsea TV after ending Liverpool's unbeaten start to the season.

Kante came off the bench with his side trailing 1-0, so imagine his heartbreak when Emerson equalised... and then his ecstasy when Hazard pops up with the victor five minutes later.

"I think Eden has done magnificently in the World Cup".

"Of course we are very pleased with that and we will go into the game with a good feeling".

Both sides made nine changes with one eye on the top of the table Premier League clash between the same two sides on Saturday.

The Brazilian midfielder has struggled to get into the starting lineup this season as he's still adapting to the Reds' style of play.

I have no problem with Pogba - Jose Mourinho
To strip him of the responsibility seems petty, and won't help Pogba play any better. The 25-year-old was dispossessed in the move that led to Joao Moutinho's equaliser.

Apple Watch Series 4 teardown reveals the magic behind the redesigned wearable
If you're in the market for a smartwatch , and have a few dollars to spare, Series 4 offers more than any Apple Watch before it. The default setting does make sense, as older people are more prone to serious falls where they will need emergency assistance.

Chelsea trailed at Anfield from the 58th minute when Daniel Sturridge acrobatically fired beyond Willy Caballero, but Emerson Palmieri bundled in a controversial equaliser before Hazard beat five Liverpool defenders in the course of a dazzling move and smashed the victor past Simon Mignolet.

Sturridge's goal came just 12 minutes after he missed a wide-open goal, much to the chagrin of Liverpool fans everywhere.

Klopp said: "I don't think it's a foul (Keita's challenge on Victor Moses which led to the free-kick)".

I don't know if it's in my top five goals but it's up there because it's against Liverpool'.

But he'll be hoping no such mistakes are made on Saturday when the League leaders face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. "What I said was about the free-kick, nothing else".

"At the same time, if you go out of the competition, which was a chance for me to play every time, it makes the chances of playing small again - and that's not what you want".

As well as the No.22, there were also first appearances of the season for Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno, as well as a maiden start for Fabinho.
