Maurizio Sarri explains why Liverpool are 'step ahead' of Blues

In last season's fixtures, West Ham were defeated at home by Chelsea in December.

'We have to work then, maybe, in one year we will be at the same level as Liverpool.

The Blues are off to a rapid start under Maurizio Sarri, and now sit atop the Premier League table.

Last week, Sarri challenged Hazard to play more in the final 25 metres of the pitch - and when asked if he felt he had done that against West Ham, the Blues boss told his post-match news conference: "Not in the first half".

Wolves have used their connections with Mourinho's own agent Jorge Mendes to get to the Premier League and build a squad that should comfortably avoid a relegation battle.

Cech has ensured a hard start to the season as he struggled to adapt to new Arsenal manager Unai Emery's desire for his stopper to play the ball out to his defenders.

But for all Chelsea's dominance - a total of 451 passes in the first period - they managed just three shots on target and two of those were from distance.

There has been an increase in terror attacks targeting policemen and their families in Kashmir in recent months. In view of the changed situation, there would be no meeting between the two foreign ministers in NY , he added.

It was another poor weekend for Manchester United, though, as they lost more ground in a draw at Wolves, while Tottenham bounced back to win at Brighton and Arsenal won for a fifth straight game against Everton.

"Then we have played well in the second half, and very well in the last 25 minutes".

But if Chelsea can beat Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday they will leapfrog the Reds in the league standings. "It's OK, one point today". Eden Hazard has let the way, notching five goals through five games. The Belgian failed to carry a consistent goal threat in his first match since being publicly challenged by Sarri to break the 40-goal barrier this season. "We'll take that all day long", said Mark Noble, West Ham captain.

"They are a step forward than us at the moment".

Alvaro Morata and Andriy Yarmolenko wasted glorious chances at either end after the interval, though opportunities were otherwise a rare commodity in the second half and the Hammers' rearguard action kept Chelsea at bay.

It's not hard to imagine Sarri's high defensive line being torn to shreds, particularly if Rudiger's injury deprives the Blues of all recovery speed.

The result means Liverpool are the only team remaining with a 100 per cent record in the Premier League ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea on Wednesday night.
