Woods bagged four birdies on the opening nine and pulled within one shot of the lead on the back side.

He had his first real chance to win one Monday in the final round of the BMW Championship and came up a little short with the putter.

Rose's journey to the top of the world rankings was a 20-year process having turned professional shortly after his memorable finish at The Open in 1998, and he insisted he still has the desire to keep improving and winning. He made that for par to finish the third round in sixth place, three shots out of the lead.

PGA Tour officials had to postpone the final round at Aronimink because of persistent rain, which is forecast to continue. Woods needed a good finish to make the Tour Championship at East Lake, and he made the field after recently earning a captain's pick for the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Bradley left his 50-foot birdie putt about 7 feet short on the 18th hole Saturday.

The top 10 was Rose's 20th worldwide since the start of last year's FedEx Cup Playoffs (so the last 13 months), and he has four wins in there as well. His chances to represent USA teams in worldwide play had dried up, his preferred putting method was banned, and the confidence that once put him on the cusp of greatness was shot. He chipped inside ten feet, but when his par putt scooted by, the closing bogey seemed destined to cost him once again.

His performance today keeps him inside the top 30 of the FedExCup standings. Bradley, the 2011 PGA champion, won for the first time in six years.

Spieth now faces potential sanctions from the PGA Tour for failing to play 25 events in the 2017-18 season.

Tim Boyle's wardrobe of choice on Monday was like a lot of people's in town: He went with the Aaron Rodgers jersey. At 33 years old, is Jordy Nelson washed up? The Rams offense, on the other hand, is mostly a known commodity.

Hotly debated on Twitter was the author's use of the word "lodestar", which pops up frequently in speeches by Pence. But the notion that the op-ed was in any way treasonous is ludicrous. "Our office is above such amateur acts".

Bob Harig reacts to Jordan Spieth missing the Tour Championship for the first time in his professional career.

"I'm very proud of it, it's been a good stretch of golf, I've really played solidly for over a year".

"I was just so happy to see them run out".

That means he will have played only 24 tournaments this season. "It was hard to get ready to play because I was like, 'Man, if they call it, I'm good.' But I was only three back".

"A lot has happened to me over these six years", Bradley said.

"I obviously accept whatever fine it is and move on and try and add one every year, but it's kind of tough", Spieth said.
