A woman seen ringing a doorbell in eerie viral surveillance footage has been found safe and is from the Dallas area, according to authorities, who said Wednesday that her boyfriend was discovered shot to death in a home in the same Southeast Texas neighborhood.

"On August 29th 2018 at about 11 a.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received a welfare check call in the 18400 block of Sunrise Pines in the Sunrise Ranch subdivision", Montgomery County Sheriff's Department spokesman Scott Spencer said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by Crime Online. Police have since tracked down the woman and have found her 49-year-old boyfriend dead from a gunshot wound.

The dramatic video captured what appeared to be the woman's plea for help as she stumbled to the door of a stranger's home and rang the doorbell between 30 and 40 times.

Her identity is being withheld for now as a domestic violence victim, police said.

"There's some issues, obviously, with the surveillance video and why she's wearing those restraints and the circumstances surrounding it. She is a white female, 5'05", 120 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes and a petite build.

Police say the mystery woman seen on video has been located.
