Eminem surprised fans at midnight Thursday night by quietly dropping his new album Kamikaze, the rapper's second full-length studio album in just eight months.

Twitter was buzzing with chat about the album, but it turns out that the album artwork actually features some secrets in the shape of hidden words.

The opening track, "The Ringer", sets the tone of the 13-track album, as an angry Slim Shady declares, "I feel like I wanna punch the world in the f***ing face right now".

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, also made headlines in October 2017, when he excoriated Trump in a freestyle rap that has been viewed more than 46 million times on YouTube.

Dr. Dre and Eminem are listed as co-executive producers, while Kendrick Lamar and Justin Vernon also have credits. Former friend and Slaughterhouse member Joe Budden gets sniped at on "Fall" in retaliation for a harsh review of Revival single "Untouchable" late previous year.
