Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested in April 2016 at a Tehran airport as she was heading back to Britain with her two-year-old daughter after a family visit.

The Free Nazanin campaign, which is run by Ratcliffe, tweeted a series of pictures of Zaghari-Ratcliffe embracing her 4-year-old daughter, Gabriella.

"We are really excited", Ratcliffe told Sky News, adding that their lawyer was "hopeful" that the three-day release could be extended.

Johnson, while foreign secretary, drew widespread criticism late a year ago after he said that Zaghari-Ratcliffe was "simply teaching people journalism" before her arrest - a claim her family and employer vehemently deny.

The Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) urges the Iranian Judiciary to turn the three-day furlough it has granted to Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe into permanent and unconditional release.

'This was a very happy surprise after a number of false dawns recently, which had been increasingly unsettling'.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt welcomed her temporary release and called on Iranian authorities "to capitalize on the goodwill from today's announcement by going the whole way and releasing Nazanin and allowing her to go back to her family and come back to the United Kingdom".

During the hearing, she was reportedly warned of an additional conviction and an extended jail sentence.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe was warned not to attempt to leave the country while on temporary release, or conduct interviews with local or global media, it added.

A British-Iranian charity worker detained in an Iranian prison on espionage charges since 2016 has been temporarily released, Iran's ambassador in London said.

"Gabriella had picked some flowers from the family garden, and was waiting to present them - the tradition she has seen for families waiting outside Evin prison". Iranian authorities accuse her of plotting against the government. Although Johnson later corrected himself, Iranian state television highlighted his comments as justification for imprisoning her. We will keep campaigning until she is home in the UK,"the Free Nazanin group said in a statement on Facebook". She and her family deny the charges, saying she was on holiday with her daughter, visiting family in Tehran.

"I didn't tell Gabriella or for a long time my mum - so if it didn't happen I would be the only one to suffer".
