On Monday, the Duchess of Cambridge was glowing with joy as she cradled Prince Louis in her arms at the exclusive christening ceremony.

Although Kate, 36, isn't due to return to work until September, she chose to make an appearance at the event after RAF made her an Honorary Air Commandant in 2015, passing the role from Prince Phillip to her, according to the Mirror.

This isn't the first time Kate's come off maternity leave temporarily.

Royal watchers were equally excited to see the young royal couples - Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton - together again.

She's expected to make her official debut back into the workforce in September, however.

Meghan channelled the Duchess of Cambridge with nearly matching shoes - a nude pointed-toe pump and held a little clutch in her hand.

However, for the Air Force event, Kate accessorised with a matching headpiece by Sean Barrett featuring netting and flower detail as well as nude pointed-toe pumps.
