As you may have heard by now, LeBron James reached an agreement to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $154 million deal, per his agency, Klutch Sports. Although the Lakers struck out in free agency, they established a competitive young core and won at least 30 games for the first time since the 2012-13 National Basketball Association season.

James helped Cleveland to their first National Basketball Association title in 2016, as they overturned a 3-1 deficit in the National Basketball Association finals to beat Golden State.

This marks the first time James will play for a team in the hotly contested Western Conference, which includes heavyweight teams such as the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets. Los Angeles was seen as the most likely location James would end up. Here's what's being said.

He said the attack was aimed at sowing "mayhem and turmoil" and described it as an "assault against democracy". The President further warned against the use premeditated violence as a tool for political canvasing.

And this is undoubtedly going to have further knock-on effects, especially when it comes to other top players heading to the Lakers.

James Harden, Chris Paul and Co. are still holding out hope that LeBron will consider them, however.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported James flew into Los Angeles prior to the start of free agency. He isn't coming after the Lakers finagled Kawhi Leonard from San Antonio. "Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons". James helped seal a Game 7 win with a chase-down block of Andre Iguodala, the signature moment of a career that has shown no signs of decay. And though the Lakers were the rumored destination for a long time, there was not reports of James holding a meeting with LA's brass.

Kevin Love is Cleveland's only major trade chip, assuming No. 8 overall pick Collin Sexton is off the table, and the Cavs aren't flush with pieces to dangle in return for valuable young players or draft picks. James could be sold on the idea of a trial with Cousins, with the possibility of filling the second star seat with a better option in the future. Sportsbooks have listed Los Angeles as the runaway favorite to sign him.
