Fortnite’s next big event is happening tomorrow

We want to inform you that the Playground LTM will remain closed for repairs for the night.

Fortnite fans waited with bated breath for the Rocket at the Snobby Shores Villain's Lair to launch, and, as previously promised, liftoff occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. EDT.

"We're continuing to test our matchmaking service improvements and are still aiming to release the Playground LTM as soon as possible".

EPIC Fortnite Playground mode: When will LTM return to Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC and iOS? Today, Epic posted a thread to Reddit that said it was still working to resolve the issues and that it would have another update at 12:00 PM Eastern.

The new mode of play was removed Wednesday to the chagrin of many players.

Despite only being available in the game for a couple of days, Epic says it made a decision to disable Final Fight after listening to the community's feelings on the mode.

Originally, Epic planned to bring the game mode back sometime on June 28, which was yesterday, but Thursday came and went without any relaunch.

One of the most memorable occurrences in Fortnite's history was Epic Games' decision to shake up the map in a big way by concluding the last season of the popular Battle Royale game with a meteor strike that permanently changed the map.

Resources gathered grant 10x the normal rate. But an event that's happening tomorrow promises to be different because you'll actually be able to watch it live.

It's likely that when the developer finally gets Playground up and running, we'll see the mode extended beyond it's originally scheduled downtime thanks to the delays it's seen.
