Trump says Michael Cohen is not his lawyer

Prosecutors investigating Cohen's business dealings - including his $130,000 hush-money payment to stripper and alleged former Trump lover Stormy Daniels - said in a letter to a judge that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was able to reconstruct the shredded documents and finally able to crack content from encrypted messaging applications, such as WhatsApp and Signal, on Cohen's various phones.

"U.S. District Judge James Otero said Cohen had not shown he would suffer "immediate, irreparable injury" absent emergency relief against Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti", Reuters reports.

The prosecutors said in their filing in Manhattan federal court that they had turned the materials over to Cohen's lawyers.

The prosecutors also said they had reconstructed 16 pages from the contents of a shredding machine taken during raids on Cohen's home, office and hotel room in April.

At the time, prosecutors had not yet provided Cohen's lawyers with the reconstructed shredded documents or the encrypted messages.

Trump has repeatedly said there was no collusion, and Russian Federation has denied interference.

Cohen attempted to argue that Avenatti's media appearances could jeopardize his chances at a fair trial.

Donald Trump's personal attorney wants a federal judge to stop the lawyer for porn actress Stormy Daniels from speaking to reporters and releasing information about the case to the public.

As the reporter continued to press Trump on whether he was anxious about Cohen flipping on him, Trump pushed back.

In a May 30 hearing, Cohen lawyer Todd Harrison said Cohen's legal team included 15 lawyers and two data specialists working day and night and on weekends, sleeping on couches in the office to try to complete the review as quickly as possible.

Daniels sued Trump on March 6, saying he never signed an agreement for her to keep quiet about an "intimate" relationship between them in 2006.

Cohen has not been charged with any crime, but he is under investigation for potential criminal violations surrounding his personal business dealings and his $130,000 payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

Judge Wood, late Friday, indicated that she was considering the proposal for the June 25 deadline, but she has not yet issued a ruling.
