Antoine Griezmann: Atletico Madrid forward to stay at La Liga club

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed he will be staying at the club this summer, amid reports of a move to Barcelona.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital for well over 12 months, with a move to Manchester United highly anticipated last summer.

However, Griezmann, who is now on World Cup duty with France, made the announcement to stay with Atletico on Spanish television outlet Movistar+.

Griezmann joined Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014 and has scored 112 goals in all competitions for the club.

"I feel there are things to do with Atletico", Griezmann added.

"It's a mess, you have to think it over". 'We always come second or third. How much they won't pay me.

His "decision" behind him, Griezmann can now focus on the World Cup with France.
