"Assassin's Creed Odyssey", the next game in the long-lived action adventure game that puts players in the shoes of a member of an ancient order of assassins, will be shown at E3, Ubisoft announced Thursday night. In the trailer, one character kicks another off a cliff in a attractive setting that looks to be placed on the Mediterranean. As you've probably already guessed from the title, Assassin's Creed Odyssey will take place in ancient Greece, and it seems like there could be a specific focus on Sparta. The French publisher confirmed its existence with a tweet consisting of a short teaser video and the words: "See you at E3!" We've heard the same details from three people who have played the game, and several more who have heard about it secondhand. Origins felt like a breath of fresh air, with enough changes to the core gameplay loop to make Assassin's Creed feel compelling again.

With this not-so-subtle hints it looks nearly certain that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will take players to Ancient Greece, where 300 also took place.

Two of those sources confirmed that Odyssey will be out during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2019. It'll be interesting to see what Ubisoft does with an Assassin's Creed game set in ancient Greece, as it's been an enduring setting across pretty much all forms of entertainment.

Messi: Barcelona is the only club I'll play for in Europe
Messi said that it's more important "to go game by game" and focus on winning their first encounter with Iceland on June 16. Messi has never won a World Cup , coming closest in 2014 but his side lost to Germany in the final.

The next entry in the massively popular Assassin's Creed franchise has been revealed by Ubisoft: it's called Assassin's Creed Odyssey. This leaves the game at a likely Fall 2018 launch, which isn't surprising but might hurt the series, which seems to be returning to its annual title schedule.

There's no word on release date, though given Origins was also revealed at E3 in June before a release in late October, it's possible Odyssey might hit that target as well.
