Roseanne Barr 'begged' ABC not to cancel her show

In an interview with both CNN and The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Arnold gave his thoughts on the actions of his ex-wife Roseanne Barr and the cancellation of her show Roseanne due to a racist tweet she sent out. She has since said that she took sleeping tablets before sending the tweet and that they were the reason for her weird behaviour.

Barr originally said her tweet about Jarrett was "indefensible" and begged for forgiveness, reports CBS News correspondent Vladimir Duthiers.

By contrast, Michael Fishman - who played the part of D.J. Conner on "Roseanne" - blasted her co-star's comments, describing them as "intolerable".

"Roseanne" was rebooted in March after a 21-year hiatus with Barr's character recast as a Trump supporter in a rare depiction of working class life on the USA small screen.
