"I asked you to believe for it", he said God told him.

Why would He choose anything less than the Falcon 7X, a private jet that nears the sound barrier but also has noise-limiting acoustic technology, a bluetooth-enabled entertainment center and an optional in-flight shower?

Televangelist and prosperity gospel minister Jesse Duplantis is under scrutiny for asking donors to pay for a new multi-million-dollar jet he says he needs to spread God's Word.

"I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the earth today, he wouldn't be riding a donkey", Duplantis says in the video, "He'd be in an airplane preaching the gospel all over the world". "He'd be in an airplane flying all over the world".

Duplantis said his most recent private plane purchase was in 2006, but the new Falcon 7X would enable him to travel further without refueling. And all of them have been paid for by his Jesse Duplantis Ministry. "Because let me tell you something about it, it's going to touch people".

"So, I said, 'OK.' But the first thing I thought of: 'Well, how am I going to pay for it?'"

The 68-year-old minister, whose sermons are broadcast around the world, said God had not only spoken to him but also specifically identified the three-engine business jet by name.

"If you pray about it, I believe God will speak to you". "And that's what's been a blessing of the Lord", Duplantis said. "We don't hide nothing whatsoever at all".

Duplantis already has three planes, which he showcases in the video.

In 2015, Duplantis and Copeland, defended their use of private jets, arguing that "commercial planes were full of "a bunch of demons" that will bog down their busy schedules with prayer requests", the Times-Picayune reports.

In his "prosperity gospel", he preaches giving money to pastors and their ministries is a sort of investment and missionaries have encouraged their flocks to invest heavily in aviation. "I can't live long enough to travel by vehicle or by ship or by train, but I can do it by an aeroplane".

A televangelist in Louisiana has a problem he needs his disciples' help with: he's due for a new private jet. "It's gonna reach people". I don't want to learn how to fly it, I'm not interested in that.
