Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue attempted to sub in Hood with 7:38 left and the Cavaliers leading by 30 points.

"Rodney, he could be better", Lue said before Game 4.

The Cavaliers acquired Hood from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline as part of their midseason roster makeover.

That disappointment apparently culminated with Hood refusing to enter Game 4 of the Cavs' Eastern Conferece semifinals-clinching victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.

"(Hood) is not built for (the playoffs)", an opposing executive texted Lloyd before the postseason began. It was the only blemish on an otherwise impressive series sweep for the Cavs.

So far in the postseason, Hood is shooting 39.6% from the field and an terrible 2 for 15 (13 percent) on 3-pointers.

However, the momentum swung in the way of the home team when the Swans conceded a sloppy free-kick right on the edge of their box. The second half continued in much the same vein as the first, Southampton playing with more urgency and creating more chances.

But with an apology to the team forthcoming and the Cavaliers seemingly uninterested in punishing Hood with a suspension or fine, it's possible that the team could put this all behind them in short order.

Earlier in the game, rookie Cedi Osman came in with the second unit and played the minutes that had been going to Hood in Lue's rotation.

UPDATE: Hood has apologized to Altman for the Game 4 incident, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Hood is clearly frustrated, but you'd still expect more mature conduct from a 25-year-old making his first deep postseason run.

The biggest reason for Hood's frustration is that he's set to become a restricted free agent this summer, and his short time in Cleveland has already likely tanked much of his potential value on the market. "We're trying to win a championship", an unnamed Cavaliers player told The Athletic about Hood's behavior.
