How to watch Microsoft's Build keynotes this week

In a press announcement, the firm boldly declared its mission to "help every developer be an AI developer". Microsoft presented the feature as part of its new Microsoft 365 offering, which combines Office, Windows, and other services for businesses, enterprises, and educational institutions.

Microsoft's annual developer conference is today, called Build. The Microsoft Launcher app will also support Timeline for cross-device app launching.

Microsoft Edge is a redesigned version of Internet Explorer. The software company expects its future bots will deliver richer dialogs, full personality and voice customization for developers.

This year's Build 2018 introduces lots of new Azure and AI products that are aimed at edge devices and developers that build for edge computing. Project Brainwave makes Azure the fastest cloud to run real-time AI and is now fully integrated with Azure Machine Learning. This new software development kit will enable developers to utilize Microsoft's speech recognition tech on their products, which will allow for improved speech recognition thanks to its noise cancellation and far-field voice tech. Meanwhile, as blockchain continues to surge, Microsoft announced the Azure Blockchain Workbench as a new tool for bringing together blockchain networks (that are supported by Azure) with cloud services (such as Azure Active Directory and Key Vault), for developers working on blockchain applications. While primarily focused on its own platforms and services, Microsoft did announce a few tidbits for those in the Apple ecosystem. For developers, UWP will work with Sets from the start, helping to keep customers engaged. Developers can create solutions that use Azure Machine Learning services and take advantage of the hardware acceleration available via the Qualcomm Vision Intelligence Platform and Qualcomm AI Engine.

Microsoft has teased this earlier, but today at Build 2018 Microsoft made it official - there are now 700 million PCs running Windows 10, up from 600 million in November 2017. The app will allow PC users access to their phone's contents, including messages, photos, and notifications, right on their Windows 10 desktop.
