Bournemouth boss Howe: Another season in Premier League can't be taken lightly

Southampton (6-15-15) are now just outside the bottom three on goal difference, while it is Swansea (8-9-19) who would go down based on current standings with a goal difference of minus-26. The defeat means they remain 6 points clear of relegation but the nature of the loss will be of greater concern to Howe than the overall picture.

As far as the Cherries go, they'd want to win the game on Saturday to all but avoid relegation for the third consecutive season, if it isn't already avoided at 12th in the league with 36 points on board. Both have little to no form to write home about and both are away this weekend.

And it did the trick to an extent, with Swansea looking solid in the opening exchanges.

The second half continued in much the same vein as the first, Southampton playing with more urgency and creating more chances.

However, the momentum swung in the way of the home team when the Swans conceded a sloppy free-kick right on the edge of their box. A poor first half was encapsulated by the awful start as Chelsea took the lead in only the 4th minute of the game but the visitors only managed 2 more shots on target during the match.

The Swans improved following the restart and enjoyed some sustained pressure after Jordan Ayew's long-range half-volley was tipped around the post by Begovic in the first minute of the second period. Wilson for the team lead in scoring.

bet365's latest relegation odds see Mark Hughes' men available at 5/6 (1.83) to go down while the hosts are 7/4 (2.75) with the same firm.

So here is the best potential lineup that Bournemouth can field in order to best combat the threat that Swansea will bring.

Bournemouth defended well, but they weren't exactly made to work too hard, either.

Lukasz Fabianski had to pull off a stunning save to deny Callum Wilson, who seemed to have the goal at his mercy.

After a fantastic start to the season, Watford have been sliding down the table in recent weeks and are low on confidence, with the Hornets without a win in their last six games.

Another defeat and now Swansea City may have a problem on their hands, especially if Southampton win later on Saturday.

Then there are clubs continuing their fight for survival as West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City, Southampton, and Swansea City look to extend their time in England's top flight.

"I'm really pleased for the club that we've captured the hearts of the nation with what we're doing here", former West Brom defender Moore told British media.
